ঢাকার মালিবাগের গুলবাগ এলাকায় আজ সোমবার রাতে ট্রেনের ধাক্কায় সিফাত (১৮) নামে এক শিক্ষার্থীর মৃত্যু হয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছে পুলিশ। সে এ বছর যাত্রাবাড়ী আইডিয়াল স্কুল অ্যান্ড কলেজ থেকে এসএসসি পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ হয়েছিল।
পুলিশের ভাষ্য, আজ রাত সাড়ে আটটার দিকে গুলবাগ এলাকায় সিফাত ট্রেনের ধাক্কায় গুরুতর আহত হয়। স্থানীয় লোকজন তাকে উদ্ধার করে রাত সাড়ে ৯টার দিকে ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যান। চিকিৎসক পরীক্ষা করে তাকে মৃত ঘোষণা করেন।
ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতাল পুলিশ ফাঁড়ির ইনচার্জ পরিদর্শক বাচ্চু মিয়া বলেন, সিফাতের লাশ কলেজের মর্গে রাখা হয়েছে। বিষয়টি ঢাকা রেলওয়ে থানা-পুলিশকেও জানানো হয়েছে। যাত্রাবাড়ীর মীর হাজিরবাগের নবীনগর এলাকায় পরিবারের সঙ্গে থাকত সে।
ছেলের খবর পেয়ে হাসপাতালে ছুটে আসেন বাবা আবুল হোসেন। তিনি প্রথম আলোকে বলেন, ছেলের মুঠোফোন থেকে কেউ একজন তাঁকে ফোন করে খবরটি জানিয়েছে। তাঁদের বাড়ি শরীয়তপুরের জাজিরা উপজেলার কৃষ্ণনগর গ্রামে।
সিয়ামকে গুরুতর আহত হওয়ার পর হাসপাতালে নিয়ে আসা ব্যক্তিদের একজন কাউসার আহমেদ। তিনি বলেন, গুলবাগ আনসার ক্যাম্পের সামনে কমলাপুর থেকে ছেড়ে আসা একটি ট্রেনের ধাক্কায় ছিটকে পড়ে গুরুতর আহত হয় কিশোরটি।
