আবহাওয়া অধিদপ্তরের আরও বার্তা, রাজধানীতে বৃষ্টি হতে পারে সোমবারও। শুধু রাজধানী নয়, দেশের সব বিভাগেই সোমবার কমবেশি বৃষ্টি হতে পারে।
আবহাওয়া অধিদপ্তরের আবহাওয়াবিদ মোহাম্মদ তরিফুল নেওয়াজ কবির রাত ১২টার পর প্রথম আলোকে বলেন, রাজধানীতে সন্ধ্যা ছয়টা থেকে বারোটা পর্যন্ত ৩৬ মিলিমিটার বৃষ্টি রেকর্ড করা হয়েছে। এ সময় ৫৯ কিলোমিটার বেগে ঝোড়ো হাওয়া বয়ে গেছে রাজধানীতে। নগরীতে চলতি মাসে এ ধরনের কালবৈশাখী বা বজ্রঝড় এটাই প্রথম।
দেশে সবচেয়ে বেশি বজ্রঝড় হয় মে মাসে। এরপর আছে জুন, সেপ্টেম্বর ও এপ্রিল মাস। কিন্তু এবার ২৬ এপ্রিল পর্যন্ত দেশে মাত্র একটি বজ্রঝড় বা কালবৈশাখী হয়েছে। তা-ও হয়েছে দেশের দক্ষিণাঞ্চলে। আবহাওয়া ও জলবায়ুবিশেষজ্ঞরা প্রকৃতির এ আচরণকে অস্বাভাবিক বলছেন।
সদ্য বিদায়ী এপ্রিল মাস দেশের ইতিহাসে এক নতুন রেকর্ড গড়েছে। এপ্রিলের প্রথম দিন থেকে ৩০ তারিখ পর্যন্ত টানা তাপপ্রবাহ হয়ে গেছে দেশের বিভিন্ন স্থানে। রোববার ৫ মে পর্যন্ত সেই তাপপ্রবাহ চলেছে। তবে তাপপ্রবাহের বিস্তৃতি কমেছে। রোববার রংপুর, ময়মনসিংহ, সিলেট ও চট্টগ্রাম বিভাগের কোথাও তার প্রভাব ছিল না। তবে ঢাকা, খুলনা ও বরিশাল বিভাগের বেশ কিছু স্থানে তাপপ্রবাহ বয়ে গেছে।
রোববার রাজধানীর সর্বোচ্চ তাপমাত্রা রেকর্ড করা হয় ৩৬ দশমিক ৭ ডিগ্রি সেলসিয়াস। আগের দিন তাপমাত্রা ছিল ৩৬ দশমিক ৯ ডিগ্রি সেলসিয়াস।
আবহাওয়া অধিদপ্তর সূত্র জানিয়েছে, সোমবার সিলেট ও ময়মনসিংহ বিভাগের বেশির ভাগ জায়গায়, ঢাকা ও চট্টগ্রাম বিভাগের বেশ কয়েকটি জায়গায় এবং বাকি চার বিভাগের কিছু কিছু জায়গায় বজ্রসহ বৃষ্টি হতে পারে। এতে তাপমাত্রাও কিছুটা কমতে পারে।
