সুনামগঞ্জের দোয়ারাবাজারে ধর্ষণের পর এক কলেজছাত্রীকে শ্বাসরোধে হত্যা করার অভিযোগ উঠেছে সাবেক প্রেমিকের বিরুদ্ধে। নিহত কলেজছাত্রীর নাম তমা আক্তার (১৮)। সে উপজেলার পাণ্ডারগাঁও গ্রামের ফরিদ আহমদের মেয়ে এবং দোয়ারাবাজার ডিগ্রি কলেজের একাদশ শ্রেণির ছাত্রী। এ ঘটনায় তাৎক্ষণিক প্রেমিক ধর্ষককে গ্রেপ্তার করেছে পুলিশ। গ্রেপ্তারকৃত ধর্ষক প্রেমিকের নাম লিটন আহমদ (২০)। তিনি ছাতক উপজেলার চরমহল্লা ইউনিয়নের বল্লভপুর গ্রামের খলিল আহমদের ছেলে। মঙ্গলবার রাতে এ বিষয়ে নিহত কলেজছাত্রীর পিতা ফরিদ আহমদ বাদী হয়ে থানায় একটি হত্যা মামলা দায়ের করেছেন। এদিকে মঙ্গলবার দুপুর ২টায় দোয়ারাবাজার থানা কর্তৃক ৮ ঘণ্টার মধ্যে ক্লুলেস ধর্ষণসহ খুনিকে গ্রেপ্তার বিষয়ে পুলিশ সুপার কার্যালয়ে প্রেস ব্রিফিং করেছেন সুনামগঞ্জ পুলিশ সুপার (অতিরিক্ত ডিআইজি পদে পদোন্নতিপ্রাপ্ত) মোহাম্মদ এহ্সান শাহ।
এসময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন, অতিরিক্ত পুলিশ সুপার (ক্রাইম অ্যান্ড অপস্) রাজন কুমার দাস এবং জেলার বিভিন্ন প্রিন্ট ও ইলেকট্রনিক মিডিয়ায় কর্মরত সাংবাদিকরা। জানা যায়, গত সোমবার সন্ধ্যার পর বিদ্যুৎ ছিল না নিহত কলেজছাত্রীর বাড়িতে। এসময় তার মা-বাবা ছোট ভাইসহ কেউ বাড়িতে ছিলেন না।
এ সুযোগে সাবেক প্রেমিক লিটন আহমদ বাড়িতে ঢুকে তাকে একা পেয়ে ধর্ষণের পর শ্বাসরোধে হত্যা করে। পরে হত্যাকাণ্ডটি আড়াল করতে মৃতদেহের গলায় ওড়না পেঁচিয়ে বসত এবং রান্না ঘরের চৌকাঠে ঝুলন্ত করে হাঁটুভাঁজ অবস্থায় রেখে পালিয়ে যায় প্রেমিক লিটন আহমদ।
নিহত কলেজছাত্রী তমা আক্তারের চাচা স্থানীয় ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ সদস্য হোসেন আহমদ গণমাধ্যমকর্মীদের বলেন, তার ভাতিজিকে ধর্ষণ করে হত্যা করেছে লিটন আহমদ। সুনামগঞ্জ পুলিশ সুপার (অতিরিক্ত ডিআইজি পদে পদোন্নতিপ্রাপ্ত) মোহাম্মদ এহ্সান শাহ বলেন, কলেজছাত্রী তমার নাকে-মুখে রক্ত ছিল। পরনের পায়জামা খোলা ছিল। মরদেহ খাটের খুঁটিতে রশি দিয়ে হাঁটুভাঁজ অবস্থায় ঝুলানো ছিল। এভাবে কেউ ফাঁস নিতে পারে না। তিনি বলেন, প্রাথমিকভাবে লিটন আহমদ স্বীকার করেছে কলেজছাত্রী তমা আক্তারকে ধর্ষণের পর হত্যা করেছে। গ্রেপ্তারকৃত লিটন বলেছে, তমা আক্তারের সঙ্গে তার প্রেমের সম্পর্ক ছিল। বিয়ের প্রস্তাব দিলে তমার পরিবার তার কাছে বিয়ে দেয়নি। পরে তিনি অন্যত্র বিয়ে করে এবং তার দুই মাসের একটা শিশু সন্তান রয়েছে। তমা আক্তারের সঙ্গে তার নিয়মিত যোগাযোগ ছিল। সোমবার সন্ধ্যার পর তমার ঘরে গেলে কথা-কাটাকাটির একপর্যায়ে তাকে প্রথমে জুতা দিয়ে পেটায় তমা আক্তার। পরে সে উত্তেজিত হয়ে তমা আক্তারকে শ্বাসরোধে হত্যা করে।
