তীব্র দাবদাহের মধ্যে দেশের চার অঞ্চলে ঝড়বৃষ্টির পূর্বাভাস দিয়েছে আবহাওয়া অধিদপ্তর। আজ মঙ্গলবার সকালে দেশের অভ্যন্তরীণ নদীবন্দরগুলোর জন্য দেয়া এক সতর্কবার্তায় এসব তথ্য জানানো হয়।
পূর্বাভাস অনুযায়ী, মঙ্গলবার ভোর পাঁচটা থেকে দুপুর একটার মধ্যে ময়মনসিংহ, ঢাকা, কুমিল্লা এবং সিলেট অঞ্চলের ওপর দিয়ে পশ্চিম ও উত্তর পশ্চিম দিক থেকে ঘণ্টায় ৪৫ থেকে ৬০ কিলোমিটার বেগে দমকা অথবা ঝড়ো হাওয়াসহ বৃষ্টি অথবা বজ্রসহ বৃষ্টি হতে পারে। এসব এলাকার নদীবন্দরসমূহকে এক নম্বর সতর্ক সংকেত দেখাতে বলা হয়েছে।
চলতি মাসের প্রথম সপ্তাহ থেকেই তাপপ্রবাহ বইতে শুরু করে বেশকিছু জেলায়। গত দুই সপ্তাহে যা প্রায় সারাদেশে ছড়ি পড়ে। এর মধ্যে দেশের দক্ষিণ-পশ্চিমাঞ্চলের বেশ কয়েকটি জেলার ওপর দিয়ে তীব্র তাপপ্রবাহ বয়ে যেতে দেখা যাচ্ছে। ইতোমধ্যেই যশোরে চলতি বছরের সর্বোচ্চ তাপমাত্রা ৪২ দশমিক ৬ ডিগ্রি সেলসিয়াস রেকর্ড করা হয়েছে। আর ঢাকায় এ বছর সর্বোচ্চ তাপমাত্রা রেকর্ড করা হয়েছে ৪০ দশমিক ৪ ডিগ্রি সেলসিয়াস।
আবহাওয়া অধিদপ্তরের তথ্যমতে- গত দুই সপ্তাহে যশোর এবং চুয়াডাঙ্গা জেলায় অতি তীব্র তাপপ্রবাহ দেখা গেছে। পাবনা ও চুয়াডাঙ্গার ওপর দিয়ে অতি তীব্র তাপপ্রবাহ বয়ে যাচ্ছে। রাজশাহী, টাঙ্গাইল, যশোর এবং কুষ্টিয়ায় তীব্র তাপপ্রবাহ বইছে। ঢাকা, রাজশাহী, মৌলভীবাজার, চাঁদপুর, রংপুর, ময়মনসিংহ, খুলনা এবং বরিশালসহ আরও কয়েকটি জেলার ওপর দিয়ে মৃদু থেকে মাঝারি ধরনের তাপপ্রবাহ বয়ে যাচ্ছে।
